Meet the Mister

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BPS used a portion of its CARES Act Relief funds to purchase commercial grade misting machines for every school to aid in preventative cleaning, and specifically deep clean and disinfect learning and work spaces that have been exposed to the virus.
Nicknamed the “Mister,” these machines are designed to quickly move from room to room spraying liquid disinfectant through a hand-held wand. They are a significant time-saver compared to the more traditional bucket, damp rag, and
 The District Office is in the process of bulk procuring a Ryobi Backpack SprayerTM to be added to its exiting custodial equipment inventory. The plan is to provide one for each BPS elementary school/site, and three to each of BPS middle and high school sites for additional support with disinfecting extra-curricular programs and activities (i.e. Orchestra/Band, Team Sports, etc.) in the near future.
   This school semester, all BPS high schools received one Pacific AM-15TM misting machine (above) – good for large areas -- and all BPS elementary and middle schools received one Karcher PS 4/7BPTM portable misting machines with long-lasting battery pack (below).

The Misters come in a variety of shapes and sizes but all have been instrumental in helping to keep our learning and work spaces clean and free of germs.
