Piranesi was created by Willard T Sniffin in in 1930 to have quite short descenders tall ascenders a a a delicate display and a a a a script like italic It has the name of an 18th century Italian engraver All the other versions of Piranesi such as Piranesi Piranesi Italic in 1930 Piranesi Piranesi Bold Italic in 1931 and Piranesi Bold roman in 1933 were added
by Morris Benton With more of a calligraphic feeling the italics can be considered more characterful and that can be seen a a a a a lot in the capitals The old-style figures are made
for all of the the fonts and the the lining figures are also available for bold roman Under the name Minuet
