 NORTH WEST CLUB REPORT 2022
It was encouraging to see that some members children have been showing and we look forward to seeing them this seasons as well.
The autumn is dominated planning and preparing for the English Winter Fair. The stand shows the breed’s commitment to the beef industry and provides a great social focus for the end of the year. We’re busy both days entertaining visitors from near and far, farmers, showmen and business folks; including international visitors. It provides a great base for the Blue exhibitors to put their feet up and grab a cuppa. We’re always on the lookout for new recruits to help us manage the stand so feel free to volunteer if you have a few moments spare that weekend, Friday through to Sunday.
Once again, I’d like to thank sponsors, organisations and people who support us in any way to make this a success; including donations of prizes for the raffle, bakers, and folks who donate cakes, biscuits, etc. It’s a stressful few day, but we receive great feedback every year, which makes it all worthwhile.
I’m glad we can be of service to visitors and exhibitors who we welcome on that weekend. Everyone help makes this a success, not only for the Club but also the Society, and ultimately the EWF.

Ali was also successful in winning Stockman of the Show.
The British Blues then went on to win Duke of Norfolk Trophy for the group of three represented by Ali Jackson, Kevin Watret, and I P Jones family it was a credit to the breed of the quality of the calfs presented.

We’re able to host our Club Calf Show classes at the English Winter Fair. ‘Thank You’ goes to our Club Calf Show judge, Mr. D Wyllie, who did a great job judging, and to the exhibitors, without whom there would not be a calf show. Congratulations to M J & D Madders & Johnson who was awarded Champion in the North West Club Calf Show classes for 2022 with Ingestre Steve.
