The four breed Calf Show in November was kindly judged
by Arthur and Elise Callaghan from Kilkeel. Champion Calf
went to Killinchy Woods Tori, owned by Sam Robinson and
sons from Crossgar. Reserve Champion was Springhill
Twilight owned by Jim and James Sloan from Kilkeel.
Arthur and Elise commented how they really enjoyed
judging the show, and the high-quality of calves and the
way they were presented. Again, a really great day was had
by all. Thanks to Arthur and Eliza for judging and to Danske
Bank and HVS Animal Health for sponsoring.
We held our Christmas Dinner in the Temple golf club
where our Show Herd winners were announced. This event
was again kindly sponsored by Mr Johnny Young. Winner
of the Show Herd went to the Rodgers family, Dromara and
runner up was Paul Elwood and family, Crossgar.
On behalf of the club, I would like to wish all our members
and friends, a happy and healthy 2024 and as always we
welcome all new members to our club.
