DNA TESTING REQUIREMENTS
The Society is moving to Genotype DNA testing and the
following are required to have a Genotype Profile (SNP): -
• DONOR COWS USED IN FLUSHIG PROGRAMMES
• ALL STOCK BULLS
• ALL FEMALES CALVING REGISTERED PROGENY FOR THE
FIRST TIME
• ALL SIRES USED IN SEMEN COLLECTION
• ALL PARENTS OF SIRES USED IN SEMEN COLLECTION
• ALL CALVES WITH MORE THAN ONE POSSIBLE SIRE
If you have animals which fall into these
categories, just let us know and we can
arrange for sample bags to be sent out.
