    Let’s... / How about...? / Why don’t we/you...?           Stative Verbs

    To make suggestions we use:                                The following verbs are not normally used in progressive tenses:
    • let’s + the base form of the verb.
     Let's go to Jim’s house.                                  • Verbs of the senses:
    • How about...? + -ing form.                                 feel, hear, smell, taste, seem, look (=seem), appear, etc.
     How about playing computer games?
    • Why don’t we/you...? + the base form of the verb.        • Verbs of emotion:
     Why don’t we go shopping today?                             like, dislike, love, hate, want, need, prefer, etc.
