Susanna - here is what I attempted to explain earlier - (and indeed was awaiting sending since 31st May deadline - but Michele Hillgarth would not confirm her preference) but in truth, I've no idea how else this process could have been better organised despite your extraordinary accusations as to my behaviour, attitude and non co-operation. If I've said it once, I've said it a dozen times, it doesn't matter what you or I want, it's what the majority wants - now we have that choice, based on your proposals and ours, you can fine tune those items that are not fully decided by the majority vote
This final result should have been indicated to everyone over last week-end (as I promised, along with the first of the legal Section 20 Notice) but it's late, due to Flat 5 (Michele Hillgarth) very late final choice of Preference A (although she wants Tiffany Lamps and NOT a black lift, but I'll leave you to further discuss with her when you meet at 5pm on 13 June - and I wish you luck. The tragedy of this whole project is that had you agreed with all of us as to how Mitre House should look, we'd have finished it by now...! But, alas you have a diametrically idea of how Mitre House should be decorated and improved, and hence this very unpleasant atmosphere (the first I have ever experienced in 40 years at Mitre House) is developing at an alarming pace. You appear to either misunderstand or misinterpret my comments, motives and modus operandi. You have no idea of what we old tenants experienced from Agents in the past - no consultation whatsoever, a huge, enormous cost and a thoroughly unpleasant decor.
I also enclose an outline of how people voted in each section based on their comments (as far as I could follow, but mistakes could have been made by me in correctly interpreting their comments) which you were also copied via email (I hope).
And yes, despite your extraordinary comment that Lisa's opinions should not be included, which as I said is simply not acceptable as she has lived here, as her home, for 15 years and has far more say over how Mitre House should look than new tenants and certainly those who sub-let their flats I can assure you. Anyway, as you will see from my very fair outline, although Lisa's comments are included in the Final Overall Vote, there is still a majority vote amongst the 9 owners before her vote is added in, so it is all quite academic.
I do, though, somewhat resent your comment as regards Lisa's involvement, as indeed will a few others in Mitre House. You will, though, have one ally, but I'll leave that to you to decide its value. But as I said, Lisa's vote did not swing a vote one way or another. The 9 leaseholders had a majority one way or another.
You will note from this outline that some items are still to be finally decided, and those can be discussed at your meeting. Other items have been decided by a majority vote (such as, No exterior Light, No Black Lift Doors and cage, No Brass Candle Lights, No neutral colours etc. Also various agreements are also indicated, such as repairing the Windows, stripping the front door back, new brass door furniture on all doors, both front and tenants, new mats etc etc
Where there is room for further discussion, I have indicated on the outline, such as, and mainly your comments to date, the Mail Pigeon boxes, the Mail Table in the Hallway, the final approved colour scheme for the painting of the walls, ceiling, windows, fire escape doors etc.
I look forward to hearing all comments and suggestions from your meeting with Michele Hillgarth (and whoever else contacts you to attend) on 13 June which hopefully can finalise all details that still need clarification. If you let me know exactly, with a list of queries still to decided, what contribution I can make by attending, I will respond.
As far I can see, it is only the final wall colours that need a final decision on, but as you will see from the outline, they are to be warm, not neutral/pastels etc. I will supply further indications of preferred colours, based on warm colours - and attached here, so you have them available, are the colours that Michele suggested. They will not be considered.
Here are the votes re: Preference A or Preference B - which do throw up some very interesting facts and figures as regards voting patterns - as explained further on:
Flat 1 - votes for Preference A (traditional elegance) Flat 2 - votes for Preference B (La Belle Epoque) Flat 3 - votes for Preference A (traditional elegance)
