REF: Meeting 20th November 2012 at 17.00 – Proposed Agenda & Update to leaseholders since the Headlease has been bought by Mitre House Management.
No formal meeting between Directors and all Leeses has been called since the Headlease was bought by Mitre House Management. As one of the Directors of Mitre House Management I want to inform you of a meeting which is due to take place on Tuesday 20th November 2012 at Café Concerto, 52 Kings Road at 17.00. Please find attached a proposed Agenda with items to be discussed.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the overall running of the building, and specially the internal refurbishment of the building which was agreed by the majority of the Leaseholders. It is now a year and a half since Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward resigned as Managing Agents of Mitre House. Since then no proper accounts for the building have been produced, and there have been no discussions between the Directors nor the leaseholders about the strategy of maintaining the building. The meeting is also to discuss appointing a formal contactor to carry out the internal refurbishment works which is well overdue.
I have not been privy to many of the points listed on the agenda, and would appreciate the other Directors information in order to give us a clear view on the current management of Mitre House.
In order to move things forward I suggest that the proposed main contractor, chosen by the majority, shall attend in order to directly answer any queries about the overall cost and if necessary see if there is a way to cut down some of the cost.
In view of the importance of the agenda I request that all of the Directors attend the meeting. If this not possible please appoint a proxy to attend and speak on your behalf, or give your full comments to each of the outstanding issues listed before the meeting takes place. It is important that all views of the Leasholders are to be heard, and I therefore urge everybody to attend. Paul kindly offered to host the meeting at his flat, although I am sure you will agree this is not practical since we are so many, hence the location of the nearby café.
Regards
Michele Hillgarth
