Paul,
Just one clarifica1on. You said cheques for the windows will not be cashed-in un1l the end of the works, while I know my previous cheque for the front windows has been already cashed- in a few days ago. Can you please clarify why it is the case? Aren’t you holding those cheques?
With regard to the message below. The works proposed for £60,000 had a completely different set of specifica1ons and therefore not comparable to what we are doing now. Is like you are saying we wanted to buy a Ferrari and you are buying a mini. There is a fundamental difference and the two are not comparable.

No lessee took our sensible offer to try and absorb the front window costs, and all decided to pay individually.
I would again remind you that because I have had new windows installed, I would have lost out completely on an absorption of individual lessee costs, but I still proposed it as a neighbourly act. A very unselfish act on my part.
I certainly don't think any absorption can be entertained for the rear windows as again myself, and Flats 1, 4 and 3 do not have any costs for rear windows and would therefore be contributing heavily to your costs. I doubt if you would do same for them if the tables were turned.
As regards ongoing mounting costs, you are still way down on what you had been proposing for three years, namely a £60,000 Internals budget requiring as it did more than £6000 contributions from individual lessees.
You would still have had your windows to pay for, plus the unexpected replacement tank, and just maybe, the Communal TV install, but your overall additional contribution to reserves is only £2000 as opposed to £6000 and there will be considerable change still held in reserves once all works are completed and paid for which there would NOT have been under previous proposals from you and other like minded lessees.
And we're accomplishing far more than your £60,000 budget I can safely assure you.
Suggest you canvass all other lessees to see if they now wish to absorb your costs, but I can safely say that Flats 1, 3, 4 and 7 will say NO...
