And though the aesthetics of this structure rate far more fetching than OmniSite’s original headquarters in Greenwood, the move came out of necessity not vanity.

“We were dying in Greenwood, because that’s de nitely not a high-tech hotspot,” Tom Ward explains There aren’t any resources for high-tech companies there—no tax incentives, nothing. They’d rather put in a brewery or home builder or farmer any day than us; so we were on
our own.”
Research indicates that the largest concentration of high-tech professionals in and around Indianapolis resides mostly downtown and on the north side of the Circle City. Naturally, Ward wanted to attract and
retain a stable of these workers. But the far south side suburb proved too far of a commute for most of Ward’s desired workforce.
Just blocks from Indy’s Mile Square, OmniSite’s new neighborhood aligns perfectly with the company’s needs, and it also o ers convenient interstate access for those who don’t live downtown.
