Mature group of linemen.
Strengths of defense: Return every starter from last year. A senior heavy group that should be able to do a lot more this year.
Team’s biggest question mark(s): Besides Vasko someone has to establish themselves as a playmaker.
2020 expectations: Get stronger and faster. Team bonding.
REGION NOTES: Copper Canyon introduces a new coach in Chad Talley. Copper Canyon was 1-9 in 2019. The Aztecs haven’t posted a winning record in a full season since starting with a varsity schedule in 2006.

REGION NOTES: Boulder Creek reached the playoffs for the third season in a row with a 4-7 record for the third straight season. There is firepower to be excited about on offense with returning senior running back Jacob Cisneros and senior quarterback Bear Milacek. Cisneros piled up nearly 2,000 yards rushing and receiving with 15 TDs. Milacek passed for 2,379 yards and 14 TDs. ... Mountain Ridge broke through with its first playoff berth since 2010 under first-year coach Doug Madoski, finishing with a 5-6 record. The Mountain Lions have holes to
fill on offense, but good experience on the defensive side should be the strength heading into the season.
