Brophy boys and Chaparral girls
Notes
Brophy Prep has won 32 big-school titles in a row. That streak began in 1988. Chaparral’s girls have won six titles in a row - four in D-I and two in D-II. That streak began in 2014. Chaparral’s Ashley Strouse is shooting for her fourth individual titles in both the 200 free and 500 free. Strouse also is perfect in helping the Firebirds to six relay titles with three each in the 200 and 400 relays. Chaparral’s Greer Pattison shoots for her fourth win in the 100 back and third win
in the 50 free. Pattison also has three relay wins in the 200 and 400 relays. Strouse is a North- western commit and Pattison a North Carolina commit. Chaparral has a chance to come close to the Public High School National Record in the 200 Medley Relay which is 1:38.13. The Fire- birds have a shot at posting the fastest time in the country in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Chaparral has already gone 3:25.10 which is already faster then last years state time. This Friday the 400 Freestyle Relay will be trying to swim under the 3:20 mark, which according to coach Richie Krzyzanowski could take down collegiate swimming girls programs.
