KAIRIKI 8 FROM SHIMANO UTILISES THE NEW ‘VT CONSTRUCTION METHOD’ OF BRAIDING TECHNOLOGY. FEATURING EIGHT CARRIERS AND INCORPORATING PREMIUM JAPANESE MANUFACTURING, THE NEW TIGHT WEAVE VT CONSTRUCTION IS CREATED BY APPLYING HIGH TENSION FROM OPPOSING DIRECTIONS DURING THE BRAIDING PROCESS.
During the VT Construction Method, fibre is weaved evenly at all angles, resulting in a smoother finish, reduced diameter, and ultimately a longer cast by the angler. Additionally, the smooth finish creates less friction through the guides, minimising casting noise, and aids to a stealthier approach. The tight weave achieves enhanced sensitivity, resulting in less than three per cent stretch (0.8 gou: breaking elongation).
