P. 2
Dear Readers
The Gazette’s anniversary snuck up on me, kind of like my wedding anniversary! In 2001 I agreed to take over the Forestville Gazette, a 12 page black and white local newsletter. 9-11 happened and it changed everything, including my life cleaning houses, landscaping and doing graphic design for clients from my home. It was also the year I met my future husband, Alan Joseph. I was 52 at the time. I recall having heard an astrologer tell me that in by 52nd year amazing changes would take pace. I waited. OMG! They did! No wonder I give myself a birthday present every year with a reading from Rio Olesky, our Wheel of Light columnist! (page 47).
And October is the anniversary of serious change in Sonoma County with our Fires. I don’t like to attach the word ANNIVERSARY to tragedy, but that’s what it is. We mark it in our hearts and bless the rains that wet our home.
And Ch-Ch-Changes are in the works with mid-term elections, so let’s get out and make our vote count for what we value. Value systems are the heart and soul of a community, a country, a family, & guide us through life.
My printer is waiting for this page so I just want you to read - learn and ENJOY what our team has produced this month.
You want to PLAY! We have more ways than you have time!
