Here’s to a New Year Without ANY Flooding, Fires or Any Other Catastrophe!
One thing is certain, our community knows how to pull together and help one another when tragedy strikes ~ wouldn’t it be groovy if we all supported each other this way ALL the time? Sounds like a groovy resolution to keep!
Don’t forget that Guerneville School resumes on January 6th so keep an eye out for the kiddos making their way to their bus stops. The days are still dark with the rainy weather, so let’s keep our children safe out there! Also, remember school will be closed on January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King’s Day.
The Sister’s of Perpetual Indulgence will be having their Nacho Libre Bingo at the Guerneville Vets Hall on Saturday, January 11th which will benefit their operating fund and numerous programs they provide to our Community. If you have never been, this is a must! Be prepared for a night of laughter, (light) shock and the chance to win some money and FREE stuff! Go online to purchase your brown paper tickets today as they sell out quickly!

The large redwoods outside of my cosy cyber-hut are shrouded in fog as the Solstice has begun to add light. 2019 was a very eventful year; not always sweet, but better now. We are fortunate indeed to live in the hills and valleys of our ‘hidden hamlet’.

Last week saw the Cazadero Old Time Christmas downtown,
with a wonderful parade of fire trucks, mostly from the Cazadero Volunteer Fire Dept. and one each from Ft. Ross VFD and Cal Fire. As we know, our wonderful first responders are also our neighbors and deserve our thanks and deep respect. The aroma of b-bqed tri-tips, children(and adults alike) laughing at the wonderful Cazadero ‘snow’-with kids doing wheelies on small trail bikes, ATVs, funny little cars and general cameraderie.
The Cazadero Community Club’s meetings are on hiatus until early March. Contact them at P.O. Box 3, Cazadero 95421 for membership info.
Like to write? Please contact her at 632 5761 for book and writing group info.
I do hope that you all have had a relaxing holiday time and are ready to turn over the calendars to 2020. Let those whom you do not physically see enjoy
a card or email or telephone call to let them know that they are important in your life.
