Jan 25 ~ Wonders of Winter Hike - Explore parts of Pepperwood not often seen by the public. This adventure, led by Education Specialist, Holland Gistelli, will take us into the western region of the preserve to discover the regeneration of the post-fire landscape after the rains. This hike will include traveling both on-trail and off, with some steep climbs. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with a view. Jan 29 ~ Wilderness First Aid Two-Day Training - Ages 16 and up. Do you like hiking and backpacking in wilderness areas? This class is for you! Gain valuable tools and knowledge to handle a wilderness first aid emergency in this 16-hour, two-day intensive course. This class focuses on learning and practicing skills that can be used in wilderness settings and covers a variety of outdoor injury scenarios. The class is primarily indoors, but also includes up to a half day of outdoor scenarios practicing first aid skills.
