1 NPとNP ‘NP and NP’
This particle connects only noun phrases representing separate objects, places, people, etc.
1. けんきゅうしつは、よんかいとごかいです。
‘The (professors’) offices are on the fourth and the fifth floor.’
2. あれは、きくちせんせいとはまのせんせいです。
3. にほんごのクラスのがくせいは、いちねんせいとにねんせいです。
4. スミスさんとなかむらさんは、ともだちです。
5. これとあれは、どうちがいますか。
Use 〜で to connect two features or events.
6. なかむらさんは、わたしのともだちで、GWのにねんせいです。
‘Ms. Nakamura is my friend and is a second-year student at GW.’
7. わたしは、さんねんせいで、ルームメートは、よねんせいです。
2 NP から ‘from NP’
1. プレゼントは、たなかさんからです。‘The present is from Mr. Tanaka.’
2. てがみは、だれからでしょうか。
3. やすみは、じゅうにじからです。
4.みぎから おねがいします。
3 NP まで ‘up to/as far as/until NP’
1. テストは、じゅういちじまでです。‘The test is until 11 o’clock.’ 2.キムさん、にじまで おねがいします。
3.えいがは、さんじまで よんドルです。 4.ジョージ・ワシントンだいがくのとしょかんまで おねがいします。
