A Trip to
Candy Land
In the morning, I went for a
walk. Suddenly a ball rolled
to me. Wherever I went, it followed me. After a couple of hours the ball made a loud noise and burst. To my surprise, I found that the ball was actually a teleporter. I did not want my cat to miss the fun, so I brought him along and together, we went into the teleporter. After a while, we were in a Candy Land! As soon as my cat got to know that, she got very excited. He loved candies! We saw many different types of candies. We saw lollipops hanging on trees; mentos as rocks; CocoCola as lava; nesquick as sand; chocolate syrup as water and so on. It looked so delicious. There was also a race going on. The audience was a host of toffees. A girl named Shanum made a car out of cookies and won the race. She decorated the car with frosting. She was the first famous racer of the Candy Land. We ate candy corns before we teleported back to our house. It was the best trip ever.

Rahul is my friend since
childhood. One day, when he
was cycling on the road he
met with an accident. He was
unconscious and was taken to hospital in an ambulance. Doctor treated Rahul and said that he needs 'O' Positive (O+) blood to make him conscious. His parent asked their friends, relatives and their neighbours too. They also searched in the Blood Bank, but they didn’t get the same group of blood. At last, my father who had the same blood group agreed to donate blood to my beloved friend. Rahul recovered well and he started to speak within a few days. I felt very happy at that moment when he spoke to me. It is not just enough to donate food, dresses or money to needy people, but we also need to donate blood.
Donate blood, it may give life to someone in this world!

The Disaster
I woke up at 7 O' clock
I was late for the bus
I had to do things in a rush
I had a shower with shampoo
I slipped on the soap
I said, "Whoooooooops!"
I grabbed my bag
I stuffed it with books
From every cranny to the nook
I grabbed a carrot instead of toast
I jumped over the chair and the shelf
My sister found some entertainment for herself Then I reminded myself
Today there was no school!

GEMS, My Pride
GEMS gives us education,
and long summer and winter vacations.
I pledge today to do my best,
in reading, math and all the rest.
Eight periods each day, lots of games to play.
I always work hard,
to get a good report card.
In class, we never scream,
we all work together as a team.
I won’t forget my promise, to always do my best.

You and I
Iandyou,youandIwhata great combination
Just like an apple pie!
We both are not at all alike.
I hate school, you love school
I love pens and pencils, you hate them
I have parents but you do not
I was born in a hospital, and you were born in a factory
I am made of muscles and bones, you are made of wood or papyrus plant
There are so many differences between us Just because I am a human and you are a book.

The UAE-
our home
Where the rulers take care of us. With safety, we roam
In this country of wonders.
UAE fills us with laughter, Happiness and joy. Kindness and generosity For every girl and boy.
UAE-our home,
With nationalities from across the globe. On this land, none feels left alone
For, every person here lives with hope.
A desert in the past,
A wonder city of attraction now.
Stuns the world with its growth, aghast!!! To the ruler’s vision, we take a bow.
By bringing smile on our faces,
UAE will rise and shine.
We should strive and take our paces, For our country to be divine.

A day without electricity
Romeesa Mansuri - KG2P
Of all the inventions during the last two centuries, the invention of electricity has been the
most wonderful and useful. I realized its importance this year in the month of July when I
went on vacation to India with my family. I remember the day when we had to go without
electricity for a full day. It was 7.30 p.m. when there was a power breakdown following a heavythunderstorm.Itdamagedthetransformerwhichsuppliedelectricitytoourlocality.Wehadtostayin the dark for the whole night. The next morning, newspaper reported several cases of accidents and incidents of robbery in various parts of our locality. In the absence of light, robbers had a golden chance to rob. Thank God, my family and I were safe in our house. When after about eighteen hours, power supply was restored, I realized how much we depend on the electricity and machines in our modern life.
