RED FOX PUP AT WHITE OAK TRAIL
Blue Marsh lake area is one of my favorite spots for a woodland walk. On one occasion I started up the White Oak trail as I have done many times before. This time, something seemed di erent. I felt I was being watched. To the left of the trail, the land drops o to a tiny creek below. On the hill on the other side of the creek, there was a small ash of movement. I looked closer. There was a red fox pup sitting there, unafraid, watching me. After a mutual staring ses- sion, he shu ed his body to get comfortable, laid down, still watch- ing me. Finally, he won the staring contest, and I ambled up the trail.
