About Cayman
One of the most exciting weekends of the year happens in January at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, when chefs,
wine specialists and food lovers from all over the world congregate for a weekend of demonstrations, dinners, spectacular beach dining events and lots more besides. Hosted by Michelin-starred Eric Ripert, who has his own Blue by Eric Ripert restaurant at the resort, Cayman Cookout attracts the likes of some of the world’s top chefs, including José Andrés and Emeril Lagasse.
Also held in January, Taste of Cayman Food and Drink Festival is another well attended event that sees a whole host
of some of Cayman’s top restaurants gather at the Festival Green in Camana Bay for an evening of sampling of their amazing cuisine, along with musical entertainment, fireworks, cooking demos, wine tastings and much more. A brilliant family event that helps you discover what Cayman really tastes like!
The Slow Food Society in Cayman is
a thriving entity that holds its own mini food festival, Slow Food Day, at Camana Bay in April. Their farm-to-table market is a celebration of local produce cooked by Cayman’s skilled chefs and their harvest dinner always attracts a celebrity chef who adds their own pizzazz to the proceedings.
