Gray’s have developed the world’s only fully insulated cable staple for use when fixing up to 240 volt electrical cables to wooden joists.
We created the name VIPER CLIP, inspired by the similarity between the bite of a viper and the visual characteristics of the product when the 2 nails are fully extruded. VIPER CLIP is also a very masculine word, conveying a strong personality. Like the product, its strike is fast, accurate, strong and refuses to release.
We created the strap-line FAST | EASY | SAFE. Short, direct, punchy and immediate, this line summarises the speed at which electrical cables can now be connected using this hand-held staple gun – together with the enhanced accuracy. Just like the strike of a viper.
The vibrant colours mirror the natural shades found on the Viper species. The staples are supplied in a long magazine/clip device for inserting into the staple gun.
Our client presented the product on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, successfully pitching for investment.
