Corey’s side ran out 1-21 to 1-11 winners in the Connacht SFC quarter-final at McGovern Park in ruislip.
Liam Gavaghan finally scored London’s first point from a free in the ninth minute but that only offered a minor
reprieve for the hosts.

London’s only provincial victory over Sligo was that one-point success five years ago. And despite a second half revival, Marren scored 1-6 while Sligo claimed a facile ten-point win with their opponents suffering black cards to Mark Gottsche and Ciaran dunne.

This was Corey’s first championship victory, and after an inconsistent nFL campaign, Sligo advance to face either of the division 1 heavyweights Galway or Mayo.
