By the way of numbers, those who walk into a dojo and earn a black belt are very few compared to those that give up (probably 1 in 1,000). It certainly toughened me up mentally and physically for the stress of business. When out running and about to stop, as I was tired, I would tell myself, ‘Paul, keep going. Don’t be soft. Black belts don’t stop because they are tired. If you want to achieve your goal, keep going.’
Setting goals is a powerful thing both personally and in business, but they must be written down. You must set goals on what you want to achieve, and in business, include a plan with budgets and cash flows. You need to know where you’re going.
