HAHN Plastics was first set up in 1993 and is one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist plastic and recycling services. The industry recognised company has a global footprint, with over 220,000m2 of manufacturing & production facilities as well as sales arms in Manchester, Frankfurt, Canada and France.
We specialise in the development and manufacturing of 100% recycled plastic parts, profiles and systems. With over 2000 products, HAHN’s components can be found in everything from landscaping to construction, civil engineering and agriculture, to name a few. In 2019, more than 66,000 t of plastic have been processed in our plants and therefore kept out of the landfill. The industry acclaimed company are renowned for their versatility, capable of designing, developing and manufacturing products to suit a number of different applications across multiple sectors.
Plastic is increasingly being sought after as a favourable alternative to traditional materials, offering more durability, longevity, cost-effectiveness and of course the ability to be made from locally sourced recycled waste and be recycled after use, thereby contributing to sustainability. The UK’s timber, decking, agriculture, fencing and more professionals are now seeing plastic as a viable alternative material
in light of its many benefits, which include it being tough and highly resistant to adverse conditions. Boardwalks and decking made out of recycled plastic will not splinter or rot in any way unlike wood, and are also resistant to any sort of algae or fungi, meaning that the structure will stay in its desired shape for decades. HAHN Plastics products can be drilled, cut and worked like comparable wooden products, but do not rot or degrade in any way. This means that the comparably higher purchase price of plastic pays of relatively soon in comparison to timber since replacements or maintenance are not necessary.
New products and solutions are being constantly developed year on year, and recently we introduced the HanpaveTM product to the North American market. Made from recycled polypropylene, HanpaveTM is a high-performance grid that can be filled with either earth or gravel and enables rainwater to pass through at a controlled rate. Perfect for car parks, HanpaveTM is both compliant with Sustainable Urban Drainage regulations and is easy to install, comes in both black and green, and comes with parking space delineators if desired.
