  EMPLOYEE HIGHLIGHTS
  Associate Dean
Dean Scott Moore recently appointed Dr. Frank Puccio as the new Associate Dean for the Division of Continuing and Global Education. Frank replaces Dr. Daniel Bernard who was named dean of Extended Education at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
“I am thrilled to have Frank serve in this new role! Frank has worked for Continuing and Global Educa- tion for eight years in an administrative leadership capacity as the director of finance administration and global operations. During that time, our division enjoyed significant growth, financial stability, a variety of process improvements, and a strong adherence to campus and system policy and procedures," Moore said in an email to division faculty and staff.
Puccio has served in a director role since 2014, overseeing operations and finances for both the ex- tended education and international units at Fresno State. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he guided the operations of the Study Abroad Office and served as director of facility for the Passport Place, managing one of the largest passport acceptance facilities in the country. With revenues from the operation, Puccio led the division to develop robust grant programming for international student travel and recruitment. He also conceptualized the Provost’s Graduation Initiative grant program which to date has awarded $4.5 million to sponsor 4,000 students in over 20,000 academic units, attributing to significant increases of graduation rates.
Puccio was also integral in working with various public and private entities to establish the Fresno State Downtown Center and aid in the development of non-credit programming administered there, including comprehensive programs like the Career Readiness Academy and individual enrichment and professional development courses.
Puccio received his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Fresno State in 2020. He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business administration from San Diego State University and Fresno State re- spectively. He participated in the second cohort of the Smittcamp Family Honors College and served in various student leadership roles at Fresno State as an undergraduate.
