This is a new proposal for a commercial building in Dubrava in the east part of Zagreb.
The building is set at the corner of the large park en- closed with a mixture of residential and commercial buildings.
The rational character of the building is defined with layered tectonic of glazed “cage” flanked with two heavy masonry ends with contrasting stereotomic openings.
The two transparent fronts equally relate to the street and the park. The “cage” enclosure at the street side is gently layered and scales up towards entrance vol- ume while the park side scales down and sprawls into the park forming an open pergola and softening the transition between open and enclosed space.
