to Kansas City, KS; 1908, becomes Western Eclectic College of Medicine and Surgery; 1909, returned to Kansas City, MO as Eclectic Medical University; 1918, not recognized by Missouri State Board of Health.

Benedict Lust changed the name of his “Kneipp Store” to the “Health Food Store,” one of first in the US.
Edward Halsey founds the Sanitarium Company and opens Australia’s first health food store in Melbourne, Victoria.
