Vatican Pontifical Academy of Sciences hosts stakeholder “Health of People, Health of Planet: Our Responsibility” summit leading to declaration Health of People, Health of Planet and Our Responsibility: Climate Change, Air Pollution and Health. Presenters and signatories include integrative cardiologist Mimi Guarneri, MD, founding president of AIHM. Pope Francis had been convening leaders on climate change and environmental degradation, beginning in 2015. Participants include global luminaries and leaders. Miraglo Foundation, co- founded by Dr. Guarneri and Rauni Prittinen King, RN, co-sponsors the gathering.
WHO-Pan American Health Organization
SA (PAHO) convenes leaders in “Traditional
and Complementary Medicine” (T and CM)
from 21 nations to explore national strategies
on traditional medicine. Includes government agency heads, village traditional practitioners, and complementary and integrative health and medicine representatives from North America, Australia and Europe. Emphasis on implementing recommendations in the WHO’s Traditional Medicine Strategy—2014-2023 and identifying best “products, practices and practitioners” to meet the WHO-PAHO goal of primary care for all. Participants include J. Wardle, T. Parker, J. Weeks, and H. Carrie.
