Edward Alstat, ND, RPh, (d. 2018), herbal pioneer, publisher, and organic farmer; founded Eclectic Institute at NUNM Medicinary in 1982, later relocated to large organic farm in Sandy, OR; awarded Presidential Citation from AANP. Presented with five NUNM President’s Medallion awards for contribution to the school and the profession; inducted into the NUNM Hall of Fame for his role in the advancement of natural medicine’s reputation. Obtained medical degree to practice as homeopathic physician (France required).
