ACCREDITATION
Boucher Institute’s candidacy status re-affirmed by CNME.
NCNM receives ten-year regional accreditation from NWCCU under Dr. Keppler’s leadership.
UBCNM accredited by CNME.
ACADEMIC: INSTITUTIONS AND COUNCILS
BINM moves to larger self-owned building on Columbia Street, New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada.
The Board of Directors of NCNM renames the college “National College of Natural Medicine” with two programs, naturopathic medicine and classical Chinese medicine, contemplating the addition of further ND-centric health studies into the program mix going forward while remaining “NCNM.”
NCNM celebrates its Golden Anniversary in May 2006, with official proclamation by John A. Kitzhaber, MD, Governor of Oregon.
NUHS NM Program Founding Dean Fraser Smith, ND, and faculty member Louise Edwards, ND, LAc, establish landmark curriculum with naturopathic theory deeply integrated throughout didactic and clinical training. Strong faculty established; Kristina Connor, ND, first NUHS full-time faculty. XX
NUHS re-launches Naturopathic Medicine Program in Lombard, IL, under leadership of President James Winterstein, DC; Founding Dean Fraser Smith,
ND, and Dean and Vice President of Academics Randy Severson from 2006 until current. National Chiropractic College had been continuous as a primary institution that included the Lindlahr School of Natural Therapeutics (1926-1930) and was allied with the separately chartered National College of Drugless Physicians from 1930 to 1952.
