In 2002, the Society for American Baseball Research launched an e ort to write and publish biographies of every player, manager, and individual who has made a contribution to baseball. Over the past decade, the BioProject Committee has produced over 2,200 biographical articles. Many have been part of e orts to create theme- or team-oriented books, spearheaded by chapters or other committees of SABR.
