92 ’75—THE RED SOX TEAM THAT SAVED BASEBALL
Luis Tiant was one of the most respected and revered players of his time, with his teammates, opponents, the media, and his fans. His career was one of streaks, but his best streaks—in the pennant races of 1972, 1975, and 1978, and in the 1975 postseason — occurred when his team needed him most. He was believed to be nished in the middle of his career but came back to have most of his best seasons and to become, for a few weeks in 1975, the center of the baseball world.
