 THE REVIEW
AGRA, UTTAR PRADESH
TNational Youth Day Celebration
he youth of the Agra branch had a wonderful time on 12 January 2019, thanks to many senior members
who made this day extra special for us. Each youth member was welcomed with a beautiful rose. The programme commenced
with a prayer, Bible reading and hymn. Special messages sent by well-wishers of
hosted by the Agra branch at St Mary’s Church on 10
February 2019, bringing their great spirit and enthusiasm.
There were plenty of fun games for our young-at-heart seniors, rounds of tombola
and a quiz. The lovely afternoon came to an end with a scrumptious lunch and some chit chat in the sun.
Mass was also held at St Mary’s Church on 10 February to pray for all the Anglo-Indian students appearing for the board exams, that they may do well and pass with flying colours.

wisdom, appreciation and encouragement. The youth were requested to come dressed as their favourite youth icon and introduce themselves to the audience and explain why they look up to their icon.
The seniors then sang songs
for the youth and even conducted an impromptu jive lesson for the young enthusiasts. A quiz on Anglo-Indians past and present followed, and a few games for fun were organized as well. The evening
ended on a high note with a scrumptious snack. We would like
to thank the branch committee
members, sponsors, helpers and all others who came out in support.

TributeTto Soldiers
he Agra branch was supposed to celebrate
Valentine’s day on xx February 2019. However, due to the unfortunate disaster that took
place at Pulwama on 14 February 2019, instead of celebrating love with
music and merrymaking, we chose to celebrate love
through this small tribute to the dearly departed souls. The
youth and some seniors of the branch gathered at St Mary’s Church to say a prayer and light a candle for the departed souls. May their love for our country never be forgotten. May their souls rest in peace.
Women’s Day Celebrations
the Agra youth were played. We would like to say ‘thank you’ to our President-in- Chief, Uncle Barry O’Brien, Honourable General Secretary, Uncle Rudy Woodman and a well-wisher and friend of the Agra branch, Uncle Bradford Newbond from Melbourne. We appreciate your words of
omen’s Day is a day worth celebrating 365 days of the year, because one day to appreciate
women isn’t enough. Thank you, ladies
for all that you are and all that you do. The Agra branch youth pulled off yet another successful event. It was an afternoon of fun.
