Larosa MV has been a beautiful filly from the very beginning. She has a wonderful, forgiv- ing temperament and a “want to please” attitude. She is easy to catch, groom, work with, trailer, and shows a workmanlike attitude. She is very talented in the free jump chute and is extremely bold. She comes into the arena to work, and always gives 100 per cent. Both of her full sisters have been Champion foals at their inspections.
Larosa MV grew up in a herd of horses on a large pasture and recently has been brought
in to the barn to learn about living in a stall, which she has accomplished with ease. She has been lunged, free jumped, has had a surcingle and a saddle on her back. She could certainly be successful in all three rings, although she is such a talented and bold jumper that she
will probably excel in jumping or eventing. By sale time, Larosa will have had a professional rider on her back.
Sire: Lampion was imported from Germany as a foal from the German Oldenburg Verband’s Select foal sale. He is by the well-known Landor S and out of a Pilot mare. Lampion himself competed very successfully in the jumper ring up to 1.10 m and the dres- sage ring at first level. A performance injury ended his show career, but he has gone on
to become a very good sire of both jumping and dressage horses and currently stands at Meadowview. Some of his most successful offspring include Lachlin MV , Lambada MV, Lucious Lark MV, La Bamba MV and Liebchen MV. He always receives excellent comments on the quality of his foals from inspectors. He appears to be a true “stamping” sire and is known for producing attractive, good moving, and athletic offspring with clear minds.
Dam: The dam, Anja MV is registered and approved as a broodmare with the American Trakehner Association and is also fully approved as a broodmare with the German Oldenburg Verband. Her sire, Feingeist, was imported from Germany to Canada by Meadowview. Feingeist was fully approved with the German Trakehner Verband and was
a premium stallion at his inspection, earning the coveted prize as the most “Trakehner Type” of all the stallion candidates that year. He was a very beautiful horse with a super temperament. He was ridden by an adult amateur and was used as a breeding stallion at Meadowview for many years. Anja MV’s Dam, Arima, was an International Level driving horse who showed in Europe, the USA, and finally in Alberta. Her dam sire, Mandant, was a very well-known sire in Germany, known for his good temperament and his ability to sire excellent movement and forward moving horses.
