Büyük Buda Heykeli
Adada gezilecek, görülecek yerlerden biri de Phuket’in en yüksek noktalarından birinde bulunan 45 metre yüksek- liğindeki dev Buda heykeli ve manzarası. Şalong Tepesi’n- de bulunan heykel, büyüklüğü ile gören herkesi şaşırtıyor. Burası her turistin gelip gördüğü, manzarasıyla fotoğraf çektirdiği oldukça meşhur bir tepede... Ayrıca, buradan Phuket’i 360 derece gözlemlemek ve nefes kesici manza- raları deneyimlemek de mümkün. Tepenin hemen yanında da çeşitli ufak tapınaklar bulunuyor ve insanlar bu tapınak- lar arasında gezerken sanki eski bir biblo satıcısında hisse- diyor.
Old Town - Puket Eskişehir
Adanın en eski bölgesini gezmeden olur mu hiç? Adanın en gözde yerlerinden biri burası.
Müzelerden tapınaklara, mağazalardan kafelere ve res- toranlara kadar tüm alternati eri içinde barındıran Phuket Town, adeta adanın kalbinin attığı nokta. Adanın en önemli duraklarından biri burası. Renkli olmasıyla yerli halkı ve tu- ristleri de bir araya getiriyor.
Eski bir ticaret noktası olarak köklü bir tarihi içinde ba- rındıran bu bölgedeki tapınaklarda ve diğer yapılarda Çin ve Portekiz mimarisinin izlerine rastlamak mümkün. Sebe- biyse, tarihte oldukça önemli ve bol olan yer altı zenginlik- lerinin Puket’ten fışkırıyor olması. Başta kalay olmak üzere, tüm diğer madenleri işlemek amacaıyla önce Portekizliler sonra diğer Avrupa ülkeleri ve İngilizler, Çinliler, Japonlar geliyor... Medeniyetlerin beşiği olan bir ada burası.
Eski şehir oldukça keyi e geziliyor. Renkli ufak mimarileri, eski tarihi dokusu burayı önemli bir ziyaretgah haline geti- riyor. İnsanlar eski Puket’te bol bol zaman geçirip, tarihe ışınlanıyor.
Puket Akvaryumu
Panwa Burnu’nun sonunda yer alan Puket Akvaryumu (Phuket Aquarium), ev sahipliği yaptığı binlerce deniz canlı- sı ile Puket’in gözde durakları arasında bulunuyor. Hem ço- cuklar hem de yetişkinler için keyi i bir ziyaret noktası olan akvaryumu gezerek, daha önce hiç duyulmayan, görülme- yen canlılar görülüyor.
Big Buddha Statue
One of the places to see in the island is the Big Bud- dha statue that is 45 meters high and located on one of the highest points of Phuket. The statue at Chalong Hill amazes everyone who sees with its size. It is on a very famous hill where every tourist comes to see and takes a picture ... It is also possible to observe 360-degrees view of Phuket and experience breath-taking scenery from here. Just next to the hill, there are various small temples, and when people are walking through these temples they feel like they are in an old trinket dealer.
Old Town-Phuket
We cannot really skip the oldest district in the Island. This is one of the most popular districts in the island.
O ering all alternatives including museums, temples, stores, cafes and restaurants, Phuket Town, is the place where the heart of the island beats. This is one of the most important stops in the island. It brings locals and tourists together with its colours.
Temples and other buildings in this district carry trac- es of Chinese and Portuguese architecture as it is a very old trade hub. Throughout the history, Phuket has al- ways been rich in important and abundant underground resources. First, Portuguese arrived the island and they have been followed by other European countries and the British, Chinese and Japanese for processing met- als particularly including tin. This island is a cradle of civ- ilizations.
It is fun to walk in the streets of the old town. Colour- ful small structures, ancient historical texture makes this district very important destination. People spend- ing time in Phuket travel to the past.
Phuket Aquarium
Phuket Aquarium in Cape Panwa is one of the famous places to visit in Phuket with thousands of aquatic an- imals. Both adults and children spend wonderful time in this aquarium that accommodates animals that were never seen or heard before.
