A legendary American illustrator who combined the knowledge of Audubon
with the cubism of Picasso and the futurism of Marinetti, producing an enduring
vision uniquely his own. He referred to his style as “minimal realism”:
“When Audubon painted a bird, he had to count all the feathers in the wings. I just count the wings.”
Now best known for his wildlife illustrations, he was also known and sought after for his landscapes and scientific illustrations. He transformed anything he rendered with his unique vision.
Charley Harper’s unique style and colorful work isn’t limited strictly to the canvas these days — and for good reason.
Harper’s bright, cheery designs have become popular within all demographics.
