The stallion incentive auction is the primary fundraiser for the Colorado Classic Futurity and Derby held annually in June. The proceeds of this auction go towards the added money for the stallion incentive futurity, derby and stallion owners’ payout. Our goal is to promote stallions and their progeny as well as to reward all parties involved in raising these equine athletes – from the stallion owners to the jockeys.
In 2022 the Colorado Classic paid out $296,000! $181,000+ of that amount was paid directly to stallion incentive horses and stallion owners. None of our success would be possible without our amazing sponsors, stallion owners and the contestants that choose the Colorado Classic as an event to highlight their equine athletes. We are thrilled with the continuous support and growth of our event and hope to make every year better than the year before.
Mark your calendars for the 10th Annual Colorado Classic Futurity, Derby and Open 4D held June 15-17, 2023 in Montrose, CO – and come warm up the weekend before at the Run at the Rose June 9-11!
