Hablar sobre la republica Dominicana a es- tas alturas de la vida es hablar de Sol, Pla- yas, Montañas, Gente Hermosa llena de ganas de
trabajar, gente sonriente, buena música, buenos hoteles y Resorts y un sinfín de buenas cosas que podríamos decir. Sin embargo, también hay que de- cir la otra cara de la moneda y es que en la Isla no se vive como se vive en tierra firme, en la isla el calor puede ser agobiante, la brisa que provie- ne del mar puede ser salada, pegajosa y en al- gunos sitios los animalitos nocturnos (Zancudos, mosquitos Ejenes etc.) pueden ser muy molestoso.
Otro aspecto que no podemos negar es su infraestructura, en algunos sitios es realmente deplorable y tiene mucha carencia, en otras es opulen-
to y sale un poco del contorno donde se encuentra. Su medio de transporte también deja mucho que desear ya que sus rutas pueden ser algo largas y en el camino no hay parqueaderos donde poder bajar y descansar algo, además de que sus horarios en ciertas ciudades no son lo bastante flexibles como para planear un viaje por la isla en autobús sin que salga algún percance.

To talk about the Dominican Republic at this point in life is to talk about sun, beaches, mountains, beautiful people full of desire to work,
smiling people, good music, good hotels and resorts as well as an endless list of good things. However, it is also necessary to talk about the other face of the coin and it is that on the Island you do not live as you live on land. On the island the heat can be overwhel- ming, the breeze that comes from the sea can be salty, sticky and in some places, night animals (mos- quitoes and others) can be very annoying.
Another aspect that we cannot deny is its in- frastructure. In some places, it is really de- plorable and poor, in other places, it is opulent and a
bit out of the contour where it is located. Its means of transportation also leaves much to be said; since its routes can be somewhat long and on the way there are no parking lots where you can get off and rest for a while. In addition to that, the schedules in certain cities are not flexible enough to plan a trip through the island by bus without any inconvenient.
