Four women who searched their consciences and hearts, made a commitment to life-long learning and to master their skills, considered their desire and ways to improve their communities, discovered organizations that could support their ideal vocations; and decided to join the sisterhood of Gamma Zeta Chapter. A community of women who inspire each other and other women and girls to reach their full potential. A community of women who are guided by the tenants of professionalism for women of African descent. A community of women who with supportive auxiliaries strive to enhance the lives of families. They joined a Sorority, Iota Phi Lambda, a sisterhood committed to the vision of the Founder, Lola M. Parker and her friends, June 1, 1929. Gamma Zeta Chapter, Chartered April 26, 1956, continues, uninterrupted, the Founder’s vision, to promote activities for youth and young adults, encourage higher education, and provide opportunities and guidance to assist with the advancement of women in business and professional pursuits. On behalf of Gamma Zeta Chapter Sorors, Congratulations on choosing to join a strong and viable organization that empowers communities and assist to enhance the lives of women.
