the Government and indeed the Council has already made its representations with the Prime Minister to provide appropriate support to the sector which remains the third pillar in our Society. Without the Voluntary Sector the country would have lost an essential part of its social fabric.
The Council must remain close to the sector and to that end we have set up a “hotline” number 7948 1120 and email address - mcvs.mede@gov.mt VOs may contact us and tell us what is your real situation. In addition the Council together the CEO and his staff will begin a series of phone calls to a number of VPs so that more than ever and especially in these difficult times, where many of you are working relentlessly and others almost totally inactive, to hear from you and see how we can be of support as we always were and will be as the sole organ that represents the Voluntary Sector.
