(She is a head taller than the shipping tycoon, she is pretty, tall and slim and the lip rouge on her mouth is black and in stark contrast to her white skin - I notice instantly.)
„A great pleasure to meet you, Madam,“
I say, when she puts out her hand to me and as a reminiscence to my Austrian roots, I bent over to kiss her hand in the perfect fashion, as one does in Vienna, ever so lightly, without touching the skin. She smiles. Her beauty dazzles me. (Later Katsourakis would be abandoned by his wife, or his muse - I never did get to know that exactly. She fell in love with the tycoon’s landscape gardener. After that life took its normal course again. I commuted between Hamburg, Greece and England. There were frequent meetings with George Philpott, who shortly after the Fastnet experience had left the Salvage Association and joined an Insurance Brokerage Firm by the name of Frank Power as a Director for Marine Business – a Firm in which Klaus Friedrich Weyrauch was the majority shareholder. That was unknown to me as many things in my surroundings, as I later should find out. George also needed a fundamental change of direction on his passage through life. He had “enough of claims”-
“I nearly became a fatality myself”
