Manuha Pavao is the son of Paul and Lorie Pavao. Born and raised in West Tennessee, Manu was homeschooled his whole life along with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He attended both Rose Creek Village's homeschool co-op and CommUnity Co-op in Memphis, TN. From a very young age, he was very interested in learning everything he could, especially chemistry, astronomy, and history.
He always loved reading. He read everything he could get his hands on from Greek mythology to the encyclopedia. He also liked to write short stories. Manu was a huge fan of science fiction, in particular, the TV show, Doctor Who. He dreamed of a potential future as a mad scientist and eventually having enough money to fund medical research.
Manu spent several summers at Camp Twitch & Shout and loved being a counselor there where he helped other children with Tourette Syndrome.
He loved wrestling with his brothers and was quite adept at Jiu-jitsu. He trained for several years at Chilcutt's Memphis MMA, in the pursuit of learning Jiu-jitsu and Krav Maga. He also trained in fencing for 3 years before his family moved to Selmer, TN.
When he wasn't reading, writing, or watching Doctor Who, he also enjoyed playing with his dog Sam, building universes in Minecraft, eating ice cream and his grandpa's famous chili, and spending time with his family.
Manu passed away on March 13, 2017. He was an amazing young man and a loyal friend. He is dearly missed by so many people.
