J&J support BT Young Scientist
BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is a 5 day event held in the RDS Dublin
in January 2020. It is an all Ireland event aimed at improving the perception of STEM subjects in 12-19 year olds. J&J campus Ireland were well represented across the 3
days of corporate exhibitions. Thousands of students and teachers had the opportunity to talk to our volunteers at the J&J stand and discuss the diverse range of STEM careers available.
J&J support IWish conference in Cork and Dublin
I WISH is a 4 day event held in Cork City Hall & RDS Dublin in February 2020. It is an initiative which aims to inspire, encourage and motivate young female students to pursue a career in STEM. Lock down virtual lessons
To stay connected during Ireland’s lockdown J&J Campus Ireland WiSTEM team hosted
a series of 4 virtual lessons over Zoom. Hundreds of children and family members of J&J employees joined these calls. There was: Interactive lab demo from Janssen in June, 3D printing demo by DePuy in July,
Lesson around contact lenses and moulding
of students and the many teachers who attended to share the diverse range of job opportunities available for STEM graduates. We were delighted to share the great work J&J are doing in the STEM arena creating job opportunities for young graduates with our Tánaiste, Deputy Head of our Government, Simon Coveney who attended our stand in Cork.
