family and pets (one dog and five birds). She also enjoys engag- ing in leisure and recreational activities like biking, dancing, running and, most of all, traveling. She has visited several coun- tries over the past two decades, including China, Germany, Jor- dan, Israel, Egypt, Ireland, Canada, Spain, Portugal and France. She enjoys learning and exploring culture and socioeconomic structure, engineering and technology, ethnic food and wine tasting.
While wearing the badge has become increasingly stressful amid the current political and social climate, Crump tries to stay positive and do whatever she can to help her hometown however she can.
“I like meeting people when I’m working and having small conversations with them. I like trying to encourage them, what- ever their dreams are,” she said. “I like interaction, socializing and engaging in projects.”
In her work with Unit 125, the Information Services Division, Crump has helped the Department deploy several technology upgrades throughout the districts.
Officer Crump has earned two master’s degrees from Saint Xavier and her doctor- ate from Argosy University.
