ON THE COVER
Championship Effort
Beyond the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field, a force of more than 1,200 Chicago Police Officers were stationed throughout Wrigleyville to protect fans and make sure the entire World Series experience was safe and incident-free. Officers endured repeated 12-hour tours, had to give up their days off and had to work nearly two weeks straight around the ballpark and throughout the City. But their effort showed that Chicago has another championship team wearing blue. Those that worked the World Series detail shared their experiences and their perspective on what is was like to be out with the crowd in this special report spotlighting the Wrigleyville detail.
