  COVER STORY

Enough is enough. Continuing actions from the state’s attorney to let repeat offenders back on the streets are making life more dangerous for the city’s resi- dents. And for Chicago Police Officers. Major cities across the U.S. are having the same problem, so the National FOP has decided to take its own action. FOP Lodge presidents from these cities – including Chicago Lodge 7 President Kevin Graham – gathered with National FOP leaders for a meeting with the U.S. Department of Justice to conceive a plan to hold prosecutors accountable.

fifth year, nearly 6,000 officers have been LEMAR-trained, and many of them are using the
kits to save lives ........................................................................................................................................... Page 39
