This evening directly benefits the mission of the 100 Club to provide for the surviving spouses and dependents of first responders who lose their lives in the line of duty. All sworn federal, state, county and local first responders stationed in Cook and Lake Counties are included.

Benjamin Perez Memorial Roll Call

On Sept. 18, 2002, Chicago Police Officer Ben- jamin Perez was killed while on duty. In just four years with the Chicago Police Depart- ment he earned 16 honorable mentions. The 14th anniversary of Benjamin Perez’s death will be commemorated with a CPD roll call, brief ceremony and the presentation of the Benjamin Perez Street sign at the Southeast corner of 53rd and Nashville.
