Keep ththe Faithth
Here is a wish to have a holiday season that is merry and bright.
A wish for you and your families to find opportunities for love and appreciation that will confirm your dedication to protect and serve the city of Chicago.
‘Tis the season when Chicago Police Officers need to keep the faith as their RDOs are again being canceled and a vaccine mandate is forced upon them. In a city where the state’s attor- ney continued to let off and let out repeat offenders and the administration doesn’t support them, Lodge 7 members still find the will to wake up every day and battle the overwhelming adversity of record murder rates and increased measures to keep them from doing their jobs.
In the wake of all this, faith can be like a life jacket sometimes. You can swim without a life jacket, but if an unexpected wind comes, one that would turn you over, having the life jacket gives you something to hold on to.
Some days might be challenging, but if you can make it to tomorrow, it will get easier. His- tory shows that we can continue to move forward. Just look at the world wars, plagues and natural disasters that we have already overcome. And we are still here.
To help Chicago Lodge 7 members keep the faith at a time of year when it is the hardest to do so, turn to the experts, including some of your brothers and sisters who are part of the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry.
So turn the page and spend some time reading their messages of inspiration created es- pecially for Chicago Police Officers to help you keep the faith.
