Married to Mark Sobczyk, who retired from the 13th District in 2012 and also worked as a tactical agent and in the Vice Control unit. His brother David Sobczyk retired as commander of the 24th District in 2009.
What inspired you to become a realtor?
I was a personal shopper at Bloomingdale’s on the Magnifi- cent Mile. I took great pride in finding exactly what my clients needed. Upon retirement in 2012, my husband and I moved to southwest Florida, where I opened The Closet Consult, LLC. The business included getting homeowners ready to put their hous- es on the market, as well as buyers needing help moving in. I recognized that getting my real estate license would be a win- win for my customers and me.
The key to becoming a successful realtor is...
Listening and patience are key when working with your cus-
tomers. As a buyer’s agent, many customers are a year or two out before they select their future home. I have a clear understand- ing of this and enjoy getting to know my customers so that they don’t just find their home, but the home of their dreams.
What separates me from the competition?
I will go the distance and strive to work with only a few buyers at a time. This allows me to provide excellent customer service. I will never tell you that I am too busy or that I can’t get you in the home you are admiring. When my clients come to town, I block time to spend specifically for their home search. This process is extremely important to me, and I am proactive in making it happen.
