Academy. East-West University is centrally locat- ed and easily accessible. There is abundant park- ing, some discounted, in and around the area. The facility itself is relatively new – only two years old and well maintained.
Calumet College of St. Joseph is committed to serving its students. To better meet students’ needs, CCSJ will provide an onsite advisor one day per week at East-West University. The advisor will facilitate administrative pro- cesses, procedures and paperwork as well as be available to answer any questions students may have. There is still time to register for the PSM and PSA programs for fall; classes begin Sept. 6 and 7, respectively.
Calumet College of St. Joseph designed the PSM and PSA programs for working professionals, specifically those in the public safety sector. The school recognizes the challenges facing adult students: hectic professional lives including mandatory overtime, court appearances,
shift work and unexpected extensions of tours; family commitments, including simultaneously caring for children and elderly parents; and numerous oth- er obligations. The programs’ faculty and staff are
committed to their students’ success.
The PSM program is an undergraduate accel-
erated degree completion program. The PSA pro- gram is an accelerated graduate program. In both programs, students enter a cohort and typically prog- ress through the program with the same group. The co- hort design allows students to develop bonds that serve to strengthen and support academic, social and profes- sional achievement. Students take one class per week for six weeks (PSM) and seven weeks (PSA). Two consecu- tive classes are offered per semester. Mirrored classes are
